Based in Central Algarve, near to Faro. We are an Organic Sustainable Hostel, featuring Goan style raised huts, a Genuine 5.5m Tipi, Owl House & Cosy Cabin, Casa Kiki with large room, sleeps 4 people and suits a Group of friends or Family. There are many chill out areas, an out-door movie theatre, Bread Oven, BBQ, Rocket Stove, Solar Stove, Solar showers and Modern clean compost toilets . The Owl House has its own bathroom en-suite, and out door kitchen. Come visit and enjoy !!
Economical and Ecological holiday accommodation, Glamping at its most affordable. We have a variety of unique, interesting, comfortable and clean accommodation options for you to choose from. Two of the rooms have air-conditioning. There are many "Chill-out" areas, plus hammocks to snooze or read in. Stu & Owl, are both Permaculture design certificate holders, and practice the ethics, of Earth Care, People Care and Fair Share at the family run Eco Hostel. The accommodation in its rural setting amongst Fig, Almond, Carob, and 50 other fruit trees. We have 2 dogs who love to go on walks. And KitKat our half Persian resident cat, who also joins in the walks ! Our chickens provide us with free range eggs, and rule the roost.
Accommodation prices start from as little as 15 euro per person per night.
The Owl House has its own kitchen and is fitted out for all self catering needs. Movie and Pizza evenings are enjoyed by one and all. Country walks right out side the hostel. Our local town with supermarket, restaurants, gym, cafe's and laundry is just 5 minutes away by car. So to is the restored Estoi Palace and Roman Ruins.
It is necessary that you hire a car during your stay at Eco Hostel.
Car hire can be arranged either through your own search or contact us, we are happy to assist. Public transport is infrequent and taxi's can be expensive. We are usually able to assist with drop off or collection during the day at Estoi Bus stop, but we need prior notice to help you.
Distances: EHA is 20 Minutes from Faro International Airport, Beaches and the famous Ria Formosa Nature Reserve. 15 minutes from Olhao fresh fish & veg /fruit markets - almost totally organic. Loads of entertainment within 20 minutes. A choice of Beaches/Boat trips to the islands /Restaurants/Pubs/Golf/ Shops/Aqua Parks/Fishing/Birding/ surfing/quad bikes etc. Easy to arrange yourselves, or ask we are always happy to help.
We have a great setting, to facilitate & accommodate Group Bookings for up to 12 people. An Ideal venue for all matter of courses, workshops, parties, weekend breaks with a couple of friends, and outreach. Businesses or private, we can arrange all equipment, catering, music, etc. tailored to your needs. Contact us for more details.
